KHORJIN

A double-sided saddlebag, or khorjin, is a textile traditionally used by Central Asian and Middle Eastern nomads to adorn and equip their horses. It consists of two matching bags, one for each side of the saddle, connected by a band under the horse's belly. Khorjins were practical for storage but also held cultural significance, with designs and colors often having specific meanings. Today, antique khorjins are prized by collectors for their beauty and the insight they provide into nomadic tribes' lives.
